Great Oak Walks is a family business, run by Jonathan, Deborah and Hafsa Bell. We have walked many of the great trails of the world, but have now come home and are based in Wadhurst, East Sussex – at the centre of the Area of Outstanding Natural beauty that is the Weald. We believe that this area holds its own with anywhere in the world in its gentle undulating beauty.

We have walked every step of the Great Oak Walks so as to provide you with detailed directions. We have selected for you only the best routes, having walked many miles that are not included! We have visited all the places to stay we offer, and many more besides, to choose only the most comfortable and charming for you. All our walks are just that – walks. You do not need a car for any of them; they all start and finish at railway stations, and they are almost entirely on footpaths

Great Oak Walks seeks to support the community through which the walks pass, and will donate 2.5% of profits to the Hospice in the Weald.
